Lawn memorial headstones and gravestones
Most cemeteries these days prefer lawn headstones for marking a burial plot. The lawn type memorial design consists of an upright headstone (headstone plate) mounted upon a base. Which in turn is usually fixed to a reinforced concrete foundation (some cemeteries have pre-cast concrete beams for this purpose). All memorials mounted upon a reinforced concrete lawn base over 2’ in height will need a ground anchor pin fitting (where cemeteries permit) to meet current BS8415 saftey regulations.
